The Heller Poll: Do you have election fatigue?

April 26, 2016 by Andrew Heller 19 Comments

26259737905_e6da113b30_oFrankly, I – your friendly neighborhood columnist – have election fatigue. I can tell because I hate them all – even the ones I’d likely vote for.

But what about you? Got election fatigue yet? Take this week’s Heller Poll and tell the world:

as Obama put it, like him or not, this is the consequence of candidates running too soon. I’d rather watch Ninja commercials, at least I get something of value. I still plan to write in “None of the Above.”

Any infomercial. Preferably ones with a recipe or 2. I’m tired of double teaming and Clinton’s large matronly suits.

All of the idiots act like five year olds. Hey here’s a novel idea, what are you going to do if you get elected? Things like the economy, foreign policy, and the environment?

Right on, JimS! This is not my idea of a presidential election of the great United States of America. And how did they get this far in the first place? However, I know many 5 year olds who are much more refined and articulate than the guys in the clown car.

Andy: I love the cartoon! This one says it all!

and yet Stupid is driving the poll numbers. Who drugged Smart and left us wagging our tongues? Why is Reason and Responsible abandoned? Something like Citizens United has overcome the whole system. How do we undo that?

I am a self-confessed news and politics junkie and I can’t believe I am saying this, but I am sick and tired of the whole thing. The Repubs have gone completely off the rails, and the Dems keep saying the same things over and over. I know who I’ll be voting for, so I’m just not watching anymore…well, at least not until the conventions…but definitely not until then.

I’m so tired of the process, the media coverage and social media hype/negativity I started doing chores around the house as an escape. My wife hopes it lasts until I finish her list.

I am deleting, without reading, all emails mentioning any candidate or cause. I get 20-30 per day.

Is that a Clown Car? Or, maybe a Trump Truck on Cruz Control? It’s enough to make me Karsich.

I was out of the country for three political-free weeks. When I returned, the political discourse was exactly where I had left it. At least, I had three weeks relief!

I have can hugger that says, “My wife say I never listen to her, or something like that.”
That’s same way I am with the election campaign, I do listen to it but selectively tune out the non-issues. Problem there: Does any candidate have a real platform?
