The Detroit Tigers will win the 2016 World Series and go down as one of the best teams in Major League history.
OK, maybe just the first part. After taking a quick hit off a balloon filled with optimism, the majority (32 percent) of the 88 people taking this week’s poll said greatness – but not historical greatness – is in the Motor City Kitties’ future. Twenty five percent, however, thought they’d flop like a freshly landed bass, 24 percent said they’d only win the Central Division, while 19 percent said they’d win the ALCS.
Best comment of the week (other than the one saying “Uh, dummy, it’s the AL Central not the AL North”) came from Vera Hogan, who said: “Since most of my friends are diehard Tiger fans, I hope they go all the way. As the kid said in the old movie, ‘Angels in the Outfield’ … ‘It could happen.'”
It could. But then I might learn to not split infinitives someday, too. The odds aren’t in favor of either.
(So how come no one noticed the photo is of Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland?)

LOL….Oh really? I love you Andrew but I’m pretty sure you just jinxed the season. 🙁
Andrew Heller says
Yeah, I kinda did, which is why I included some pessimism
Tom Neely says
We are going to start calling you A-Hell.
Andrew Heller says
I dig it.
Tony says
Keep Victor Mar. as a pinch hitter, until further notice, and I believe you.
