Come Heller high water … the Cad-in-Chief edition

June 29, 2017 by Andrew Heller 49 Comments

Come Heller high water …
  • Trump disgusts me on many levels, but his tweet mocking Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski revealed the last grotesque ounce of his character. If you missed it, he tweeted: “I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year’s Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!”
  • Disgusting. If the guy can’t lead, the least he could do, you would think, is behave like a gentleman toward women. Or if he can’t do that, at least say nothing. Republicans, as someone who was raised to hold doors for women, this guy is your president not mine. I’ve had 10 presidents during my lifetime. He’s not one of them.
  • But then should we have expected anything else after the Billy Bush video? We don’t have a commander-in-chief, we have a cad-in-chief.
  • I had some lingering  respect for Melania Trump for putting up with that doofus. Then her spokesperson said this about the Mika tweet: ‘As the First Lady has stated publicly in the past, when her husband gets attacked, he will punch back 10 times harder.” So much for the anti-cyberbullying campaign she keeps talking about.
  • The Michigan DNR confirmed the first ever sighting of a cougar downstate this week in Clinton County near Lansing. Someone snapped a photo of it running across a road at night. This is creepy, of course, but I’ll bet you there are plenty of others. The trails in Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore have had cougar warnings posted for years.
  • Michigan United Conservation Club members voted this week to seek sandhill crane and mourning dove hunting seasons in the state. Sandhill cranes have been protected for 100 years and mourning dove hunting was overwhelmingly rejected by voters 10 years ago. So, naturally, expect this to immediately pass the state Legislature, which doesn’t give a damn about what you  or I think if we happen to disagree with what their donors think.
  • Apparently it’s pessimism day today in the column. Can you blame me?
  • Listen, if I lived in Flint I wouldn’t pay my water bill either. Why should people be forced to pay for poison? That’s ridiculous. Yes, I know it’s supposedly now safe, but would you trust it if your health was at risk? No, you wouldn’t. A lot of pipes haven’t been replaced, and many people, if not most, are still filtering or living off of bottled water. The state caused this problem, the state should pay for water until the entire city is lead-free.
  • Tell me again how Obamacare is falling apart? A Fox News poll says only 27 percent of registered voters support the Senate’s health care bill. Fifty four percent oppose it. If Obamacare was that bad, would that many people oppose it? I don’t think so. Other polls show even more disdain for the Senate’s plan. Nicely done, Mitch McConnell. Nicely done.
  • Michigan is giving Amazon – soon to be known as the Empire, as it continues its mission to wipe out all retail everywhere – $5 million in state funds to build a second distribution center here. Amazon is worth in the area code of $430 billion? So why does it need to extort money from a poor state? Makes no sense to me.
  • If you’re thinking, “Worth it for 1,600 jobs,” consider that at least one study estimates Amazon has caused the elimination of 149,000 more retail jobs than it has created with its warehouses. Don’t know if the study is accurate or not, but it’s something to consider. What happens to society when there are no stores anymore?

For the record, he’s not my president either. He disgusts me as no other has ever done. The saying “”tis better to be quiet and thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it” is about all I have to say about Trump.

So much for civility and mutual respect, but I do respect the Legislators who are calling him out on this. I caught the Melania quote, also…apparently it’s ok to cyber-bully if you’re DT, just like it was ok for him to bash President Obama, and ok to insult the Democrats, invite only the Republicans to a meeting, and complain about obstructionism. If he would put his phone down and attempt to do his job, maybe the world could see if he’s capable of doing it.

I have no need to call Fred a nasty name or to bring up slick willey clinton. It would be just a waste of time. However, I will state that if a conservative was to hand Fred a boot full of water with the instructions printed on the bottom on how to empty the boot, Fred would have a hard time understanding the instructions.
I am not happy with some of the things that President Trump says on twitter. He needs to either slow down his comments and also send them through one of his support staff.
But democrats have very thin skins and cannot tolerate anybody that does not blindly accept their way of thinking. Democrats are so 1984 (the book that is).
No matter what President Trump does they will find a specious reason to oppose it.
Okay Andrew, what was the comments that were made by Mika Brzezinski and by Psycho Joe that upset President Trump. Sorry, I had to use psycho Joe because I do not know who he is.
On a side note again, the city council of Detroit (mainly democrats) has taken money set aside for schools and parks and recreation and moved to another account to help fund the new arena for the Pistons in downtown Detroit.
This is money that is being given to billionaires that should be paying for the new stadium out of their own pockets, not fleecing the taxpayers.

“Okay Andrew, what was the comments that were made by Mika Brzezinski and by Psycho Joe that upset President Trump. ” Wait a minute. Didn’t you just say Democrats have then skin? I remember Obama was the target of trump’s birther movement for years and he barely acknowledged it. That is what tough looks like, in case you aren’t sure.

“On a side note again, the city council of Detroit (mainly democrats) has taken money set aside for schools and parks and recreation and moved to another account to help fund the new arena for the Pistons in downtown Detroit.”

So how do you feel about what these republicans are doing? “Michigan is giving Amazon – soon to be known as the Empire, as it continues its mission to wipe out all retail everywhere – $5 million in state funds to build a second distribution center here. Amazon is worth in the area code of $430 billion? So why does it need to extort money from a poor state? “.

Make sure you check the bottom of your boot for the answer. I am pretty sure it is not in your head.

What is this thing Trump has about women bleeding? In today’s tweet, he wrote about Mika, “bleeding badly from a facelift.” ??? And, do you recall he got in trouble early in the campaign for tweeting about Meagan Kelly “bleeding from her eyes or somewhere”? ???! These are not nice tweets, but what the heck is he even talking about?????

And, Andrew you are younger than I. I just made a quick list. I have had thirteen Presidents in my lifetime.

Has it been a week since the shooting of Republican Scalice took place? The words regards insulting language, civility, joining together were spoken by Pres Trump in a solemn statement. Sadly he doesn’t understand or care that as president he’s speaking as leader of the USA. This trash talk will not stop. There is no dignity in the White House, no sense of history and awe of what it stands for. His press spokesperson defends his tweets today as his response to being criticized every day.
I’ve got an idea…ignore the criticism, quit tweeting ,act like what you are supposed to be the representative and leader of ALL citizens of the USA. F..ing grow up.

It’s kind of hard to grow up when he has such thin skin. He is 71 years old, if he hasn’t grown up by now, he never will. I think the more he tweets the deeper the hole he is digging for himself gets. So, lets keep him tweeting.

He doesn’t represent all Americans or even some of them, he is too immature for that responsibility. He represents himself and maybe his family, with some perks to the wealthiest of the nation. His base likes to pretend that he represents them, for a multitude of irrational reasons, but so many of his policies are a clear disregard to even their interests.

The rest of the GOP is in a lose/lose situation. They can stick with trump and sink with him, or they can oppose him and lose the support of his base. They sure are struggling to pass anything while having control of Congress. trump says that is some how the Democrats fault, but they are just sitting back and watching the chaos unfold. The GOP owns this mess, whether they acknowledge that or not.

Don’t get me wrong though. Democrats, we dropped the ball in the last election. trump should had lost by a mile. Let’s make sure he is crushed in 2010, if he makes it that far. He is not what makes America great, the humanity and compassion of our good and decent citizens who cherish our freedoms and cultural diversity is.

I agree–liberal heads explode! The reason why? There is so much knowledge, information, and caring for their fellow humans inside of those heads that they can be over loaded with all of the Bovine Scatology coming from the “conservatives.”

On the other hand, when conservatives are faced with facts and truth from outside of their craniums–they implode! Who knows, when that happens some light might filter through the cracks and, occasionally, they might learn something. Of course if there was something inside of those skulls, they might be able to resist some pressure.

What has President Trump been up to since the collective left has gotten their panties knotted up in bunch since this stupid spat between President Trump and those two hosts of Morning Joe?
Gave a speech on energy plans for the future. I will not list all the plans. just a couple.
Expanding nuclear energy use (except for the 20% that hilliary sold to the Russians when she was the SOS), a new petroleum pipeline to Mexico and laying ground work for a company called Sempra Energy to sell more natural gas to South Korea.
One other thing he did was to rollback/repeal obamma’s onerous epa regulations that would allow the epa to monitor ground water (especially that which comes from rain). In this regulation the epa would have had the authority to monitor and water hole that drained into a drainage ditch, then to a creek. If you had a overly zealous epa regulator he/she could fine you for draining a mud puddle on your property. It was even worse for farmers.
Loved the cartoon in Fridays’ Flint Journal on page A-9. The participation awards for democrats.
Fred you are the troll. I do not advocate violence. It is the democrats who wear hoods and face masks to attack those that are not in line with their views. It is the snowflakes at some of the universities that get their panties in a bunch and threaten and actually carry out acts of vandalism if a conservative is asked to come and make a speech.
The Berlin wall was not built to keep the West Germans and NATO out of East Germany.
It was built to keep the East Germans from escaping from East Germany.
The communists of Russia have more in common with the democrats than they do with the republicans. I know that Fred will into his usual denial of the truth.

The ones who actually say something with context and are just misinformed, well that is who you want to debate with. I won’t rule out responding just because I disagree, as long as it is a matter of exchanging different views and learning to understand our positions. That is how we find common ground and learn to work together.
