Okay, let’s get this out of the way. The first five reasons that pop to mind why the President is the opposite of what his wife seems to be advocating:
- The nicknames he gives to “beliddle” people who disagree with him — a classic bully technique.
- The way he sucks up to people when they’re together at a photo op, but attacks them when they are at a safe distance. Also, classic bully.
- The special bile he saves for women who challenge his authority (especially women of color).
- His appropriating the pride that Americans feel for our military when he himself ducked out of service by leveraging his wealth and privilege.
- Regaling a convention of boy scouts with wistful tales of yachts and orgies.
If you are so inclined, feel free to mince, dice, and misdirect. Go ahead and deny. Get your White House Press Secretary on. But we all know the truth. And I’m pretty sure the first lady knows it, too.
Which is maybe the most unfortunate thing here. The message Ms. Trump delivered on Monday to the 6th graders at Orchard Lake Middle School in West Bloomfield is so, so important: inclusion, integrity, kindness, leadership. I’m willing to believe that the first lady is sincere. It’s the persistently contrary behavior of her husband that creates a mixed message.
But let’s not despair that the children are confused. Middle schoolers are smarter than adults often assume. They are experts at recognizing authenticity (i.e., they have excellent BS detectors). All the more reason that we as adults should hold ourselves to the standards Ms. Trump is promoting (and expect our elected officials to do the same).

It won’t be long before a couple trolls show up here to explain how it the liberals like you and I who are the real bullies, simply for pointing out things like this.
Mrs. Trump should also have visited one or more of the very-at-risk poor middle schools in Detroit and whatever other city has poor run-down schools. I don’t want her to think that all Michigan schools are like the Orchard Lake schools.
By the way, has she moved into the White House yet? Isn’t that where the First Ladies should be?

Everything you say is correct. A bully is a bully is a bully. He’s been getting away with it all his life simply because he has money. No class. Just money.
Thank God we have a president that values American lives and will actually fight radical Islamic terrorists. So far the dead count in Manhattan is 8 with dozens more injured. The murdering bastard that attacked the with a truck screamed Allahu Akbhar!!!

Most of the people killed today were foreigners, 5 from Argentina, 1 from Belgium. I imagine the Argentina ones are no big loss to you. If trump valued American lives, he would had spoken out sooner and stronger against the Vegas shooter and took steps to restrict access to firearms from domestic terrorists, like you. Because he is so much quicker to speak up harshly when the attacker has an arabic name, it just further confirms his racism and bigotry that you obviosly share.
Well this Islamic terrorist had tons of Democrat help.
He came into the USA under the Obama administration. Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer have him a “diversity visa” so he could get into the USA. ( I think it is obvious we don’t need to give jihadists “diversity visas”) He got a green card in a lottery process. What?!?!… We should only give green cards to people who have effectively proven themselves both safe and productive. We don’t hand out Democrat lottery green cards to jihadists. He was arrested in 2016 but was not deported because you know…. Diversity… Democrats…
And now we have yet another Democrat assisted, jihad induced, body count.
